Weekend Photos

This weekend the boys "helped" Noah in our semi-finished basement. There have been lots of guys down there working on various projects, from electric work to heating and AC, and there are lots of little wood shreds and other junk that Noah wanted to clean up. The boys came down and immediately wanted to help too. I was upstairs laughing because all I could hear was the shop vac being switched on and off over and over and over. I went downstairs to see Noah trying to use it, but Carson kept turning it off seconds after he would turn it on. Noah kept saying, "Carson, can you turn it back on?" OFF. "Carson can you turn it back on?" OFF. "Carson, turn it back on." OFF. It was very entertaining.

There are also some pictures of the boys having a good old time in the tub. Their newest interest in the bathtub is turning the shower head on so they have a little rain shower to play in. We had to make it a rule that the shower head would not come on until everyone was totally washed, and it's amazing how that has sped up the wash-time!

Also included some pictures of the boys at storytime again this morning at Barnes and Noble. Today's was a little disappointing. First of all, we were very excited about going this morning because the story on their schedule to be read today, Nolan's favorite story called "Going On A Bear Hunt" was not read after all. It was a big letdown for him (and me!). Things kind of went downhill from there... It was a packed group today and naturally Carson tipped backwards off of a bench and really bonked his head, resulting in lots of very loud screaming. Then Nolan decided to chuck a train at me while at the train table for reasons still unknown. He went to a time-out in the "boardgame" section of the store (the only location where I could still keep an eye on him and watch Carson at the same time), but ultimately proved pretty worthless since he just started playing with the games. Carson majorly filled his pants during the story and there was this terrible stench permeating from our location...that's always fun. And to top things off, before we left the boys found a cardboard box full of stuffed animals under a table, and while I was looking at some books they had both crawled inside of it - snotty noses and all! Lucky people whoever decides to buy one of those stuffed animals! Yuck. Better luck next time (I hope!).

****Pictures are not in correct order, sorry!

Movie night and popcorn! Started out good...

Getting a little messy.

Okay, I think we've lost interest.

Gotta love this face!

Carson taking in a book at the bookstore.

Juice-break.

Nolan with his "Jungle Life" book at the bookstore. He was interested in the different animals.

Carson decided to squish the blackberries at lunch rather than eat them.

You can see he's thinking, "Cooool!"

Another great face.

Carson with his police car downstairs. Dad, remember this?

The boys just itchin' to get their hands on that shop vac!

Nolan's turn with the shop vac.

And here Carson goes with the switch!!

Sitting on the stairs.

Carson gets a turn.

He just located the switch!

Funny boys.

Nolan laughing at his brother.

What a face!
